Waste Management and Recycling

The Campbell County Recycling Center is located at the Campbell County Landfill Center. This is a manned site and is open during regular Landfill Center hours.

Remember to close the recycling loop by purchasing recycled products packaged in recycled material!

Items that can be recycled:

Aluminum

  • Aluminum foil wrap and foil pans
  • Aluminum food and beverage cans

Rinse and flatten, if practical

Steel and Bi-Metal Cans

 

  • Steel and bi-metal food and beverage cans
  • Steel lids from glass jars
  • Bottle caps
  • Cardboard spiral,
  • Can tops and bottoms
  • Empty paint cans and lids


Rinse food and beverage cans
Ensure paint cans are empty and dry
Remove paint can lids
No other steel items

Mixed Paper

  • Non-glossy magazines, junk mail
  • Phone books, cereal boxes, office
  • Papers, etc.

Remove staples

Newspaper

  • Newspaper, colored inserts

Remove non-paper items
Keep paper dry
No paper bags

Cardboard

  • Include brown paper bags

Flatten
Keep dry

Used Motor Oil

  • Not mixed with antifreeze

Deliver oil in closed containers

Batteries

  • Car and truck batteries
  • All household batteries including cell phone batteries

Deliver clean

Tires
  • Four (4) tires at a time
Per County Code Chapter 12, Section 12-16.1, County residents may dispose of eight (8) tires, in loads of up to four (4) tires at a time, at the Livestock Road Transfer Site only, at no charge within the same calendar year.
