Health Services

The Campbell County Health Department is part of the Central Virginia Health District and the Virginia Department of Health. The Health Department has both clinical functions and community health functions. The department's programs include Environmental Health, Nursing Services, Child Development Clinic. Office hours are 8:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., Monday through Friday.

 

Fees for services include:

Onsite sewage permit $425.00
Well permit $300.00
Restaurant/Hotel permit $285.00
Restaurant/Hotel plan review $95.00
Clinic services Dependant on income
Childhood immunizations Free
Tuberculosis screening  

 

Specific services of the department include the following:

  • Immunizations
  • WIC (Women, Infant and Children nutrition program)
  • Blood pressure screenings
  • Registration of births and deaths in the County
  • Rabies control
  • Septic Permits
  • Well permits
  • Restaurant inspections and permits
  • Lion's Club/eye screenings
  • Family Planning (by appointment)
  • Well Child Check-ups (by appointment)
  • Personal Care/Nursing Home Screenings
